4 Yoga Classes to Improve Hip Strength & Mobility

These four 60-minute classes are specifically designed to stretch, strengthen and mobilise our hips to improve the range of motion and stability. This will in turn increase freedom in daily movement and enjoyment of all the activities we love to do…like golf, swimming, hiking, cycling, tennis AND yoga and pilates!
Our hips are the largest joint in our body, connecting the upper and lower body, and are responsible for our balance, spinal support and stability for our organs.
Did you know that our hip movements include flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, circumduction and rotation and over 20 muscles are contained in the area? Importantly, all research states that strong, stable and mobile hips are directly related to longevity.
All classes will begin with pranayama (to settle the nervous system) followed by a gentle warm up before moving into long holds of specific asanas (poses) to stretch and strengthen and stabilise the hips. We will end with savasana.
All ages and abilities welcome.
No need to bring anything. Mats and props provided.
