PILATES
Power Pilates is a fantastic low impact, total body workout. With a focus on core, Power Pilates brings the principles of Classical Pilates to strengthen with floor based exercises using bands, sliders, weights, balls and blocks. Pilates will help with improved posture, flexibility, concentration, physical coordination and balance, just to name a few benefits. Pilates is for everyone and anyone; ageless and genderless, with hundreds of exercises. You will be challenged and amazed at how far you can push your body. Not recommended during pregnancy.
Reformer Pilates with a maximum of 8 students each class provides hands-on, personalised instruction. With a focus on core strength, flexibility and mindfulness, we have designed a dynamic strength program to achieve a full body workout. Using state-of-the-art Allegro 2 Reformer by Balanced Body you get all the benefits of traditional pilates packed into an intense, fun, and effective 45 or 60 minute workout. No prior experience required.
YOGA
Combining physical, mental and spiritual elements, Yoga will transform mind and body. A regular Yoga practice will build strength, increase flexibility and help to instil a calm and collected mindset. Read on to see the different styles of Yoga we have for you at The Habitat Space.
Yoga Flow classes are dynamic classes that synchronise movement and breath in a continuous flow of poses, usually beginning with sun salutations. They are energetic, creative and lots of fun. Yoga Flow classes are suitable for all levels with variations and modifications offered to support beginner students.
Slow Flow classes are light and creative, but slower paced than our vinyasa classes. Postures are generally held for longer periods and the transitions between poses are a little slower. This class is great for beginners, or for those wanting to slow down and sink deep into their practice.
Yin Yoga classes are a slow-paced, calming style of yoga. Yin yoga targets the connective tissue (ligaments, tendons and fascia) to improve the feeling of space and freedom in your body in order to do this we hold poses for up to 5 minutes using the support of props. These classes are suitable for all levels of students.
BARRE
Barre is a full body workout performed to music that combines elements of Mat Pilates and Ballet. Using a ballet barre for support, participants perform controlled exercises focusing on the core, legs, and arms. Incorporating isometric holds and high-repetition, these movements help to strengthen, improve posture, increase muscular endurance, and enhance overall body alignment. Beyond physical benefits, barre workouts can also promote mental focus and stress relief, making it a popular choice for those seeking a fun fitness class. No dance experience is necessary.
Barre Strength & Conditioning is similar to Barre though at a slower pace and focuses more on floor exercises.
Dance Cardio uses simple choreography in a series of movements to tone and work you aerobically. All the steps can be performed low impact if required. You will also work on strengthening your legs and core, and it is great for improving your coordination. Be prepared to have fun and few laughs too! (Recommended to wear runners to this class)
FITNESS
Fitness HIIT is run as either a HIIT (high intensity interval training), Strength or Circuit. These classes are quick but intense. Using equipment such as kettle bells, fit balls, bosu balls, hand weights and skipping ropes… the list goes on. Perfect for those short on time, you’ll be in and out in 45 minutes! Not recommended during pregnancy.
Box Fit incorporating boxing fitness exercises, in this class you will shadow box to music. There is no physical contact between participants and boxing gloves are not required
