Yoga

Combining physical, mental and spiritual elements, Yoga will transform mind and body. A regular Yoga practice will build strength, increase flexibility and help to instil a calm and collected mindset. Read on to see the different styles of Yoga we have for you at The Habitat Space.

Yoga Flow

Our Yoga Flow classes are dynamic classes that synchronise movement and breath in a continuous flow of poses, usually beginning with sun salutations. They are energetic, creative and lots of fun. Yoga Flow classes are suitable for all levels with variations and modifications offered to support beginner students.

Slow Flow Yoga

Our slow flow classes are light and creative, but slower paced than our vinyasa classes. Postures are generally held for longer periods and the transitions between poses are a little slower. This class is great for beginners, or for those wanting to slow down and sink deep into their practice.

Yin Yoga

Our yin yoga classes are a slow-paced, calming style of yoga. Yin yoga targets the connective tissue (ligaments, tendons and fascia) to improve the feeling of space and freedom in your body in order to do this we hold poses for us to 5 minutes using the support of props. These classes are suitable for all levels of students.

Guided Meditation

Come along to Guided Meditation at the Habitat Space on Thursday nights at 7.30pm.

Research continues to show what the yogis and those in the East have known for centuries. Meditation reduces blood pressure, stress, fatigue and pain. It increases creativity, focus, our problem solving abilities and improves our immune function and relationships. These are just a few of the benefits!

This relaxing session starts with an introduction to practical breathing and mindfulness tips. You will learn to deepen the breath, quieten the mind and relax the whole body. Each week is slightly different; we’ll explore from guided imagery, Loving Kindness meditation to mantra based meditation. Leave feeling deeply relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated

Barre

Barre is a full body workout, designed to tone the entire body, giving you long, lean muscles. Be prepared and S-W-E-A-T.
